In May 2010, BA-PIRC researchers introduced Greg Hardwick as another potential deep retrofit, zero energy builder prospect for a showcase home at the 2011 International Builders’ Show. Researchers were approached by Greg Hardwick to assist in providing technical and testing support on several deep retrofit projects that Greg Hardwick is currently contracted for. These homes had tours that highlighted energy efficient and green strategies during the construction at the SEBC 2010. In July 2010, Greg Hardwick was welcomed into the BA-PIRC program. Ongoing consultations with builder representatives and builder’s home energy rater were conducted on two homes – McNair and Guinsler residences.
